Continental has revamped its "do-it-all" tire with a completely new tread. The Mountain King III improves upon its predecessor's characteristics by providing safety and grip on rocky and dry trails, as well as in muddy sections, thanks to its aggressive knob design. Even the rolling resistance is noteworthy! For this reason, it has been defined as a "do-it-all" tire.
Features
- Safe riding on uneven terrain with good rolling resistance over long distances.
- Exceptional grip thanks to the arrow-shaped central tread and prominent side knobs.
- The perfect companion for exploring new trails.
Technologies
Pure Grip Compound
Based on an activated silica compound, this technology was originally intended for mid-range products, but after intense development at the Korbach Research and Development center, a new advanced compound with excellent grip and properties suitable for Cross-Country was born.
The new rubber compound, whose name PureGrip speaks for itself, is positioned just below BlackChili and is used in Continental's high-end products in both the road and MTB sectors. Along with great grip, it also guarantees long durability - both characteristics of Continental tires - which are manufactured exclusively in the Hefei factory.
RTR - Revolution Tubeless Ready
Tubeless Ready tires can be used both with inner tubes and without, by using a sealing liquid.
The revolutionary flexible Tubeless Ready bead allows for easy and quick mounting of the tire without an inner tube.
All Continental tires in ProTection and Performance formats feature Tubeless Ready (RTR) technology; for optimal tire sealing, the use of Continental RevoSealant puncture sealant is recommended.
ShieldWall System
Perfect combination of high puncture resistance and low rolling resistance. Designed as an additional layer of finely woven casing, ShieldWall protects against direct punctures and other possible structural damage, such as cuts or pinch flats. Despite the additional layer, the tire maintains its flexibility.
