It is a global leader (with branches in various countries) in mechanical components for mountain bikes and road bikes; it produces most of the mechanical groups that make them up (derailleurs, braking systems, wheel hubs, freewheel mechanisms, chains, chainrings, pedals, cranksets, bottom brackets...) and holds a large share of the market across its entire range (from entry-level bikes to competition models)
