Regular test victories prove the measurable and noticeable advantages for the rider in the laboratory and on the road. The latest polymers, as well as specially developed carbon black particles and fillers, guarantee unique performance.

Vectran

The benchmark in puncture protection.
Vectran™ is a synthetically produced high-tech fiber with a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran™ is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran™ is spun from the molten liquid polymer Vectra and further processed into a multifilament yarn. Spider silk and Vectran™ have enormous tear strength at a very low weight. Exactly the right properties to be processed into a Continental top tire as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran™ breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than comparable nylon breakers. The Vectran™ Breaker does not affect rolling resistance.

Note: For tubeless installation, Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless-compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealant. Puncture sealant is not necessary for UST Tubeless tires, but is recommended due to the increased puncture protection. Tubeless tire installation is not always easy and should only be performed by qualified personnel.
