Look Kéo 2 Max pedals with a composite body and a contact surface that retains the strong lines on which its history was built, but increasing the width to 60 mm to ensure a larger platform and improved foot stability during pedaling. This creates a feeling of incomparable comfort not found in any other pedal. Look also seeks to optimize power transfer thanks to its new 500 mm2 of usable surface (+ 25% increase). The shape of the stainless steel plate has been checked to coincide with the cleat and to maintain, regardless of foot position, the same contact for consistent performance. Increasing the usable contact surface of the pedal, without any additional weight increase, improves the weight/power ratio, which improves the product and allows for better performance. Furthermore, the axle profile of the new Kéo 2 Max has been optimized. Structured around the "Chromoly Plus" steel axle, it consists of an axle with an internal ball bearing and a needle bearing located under the contact surface, to maintain the load and distribute it optimally. A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the needle bearing in place, has been replaced by a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases fluidity and consequently decreases internal geometric tolerances. The sole purpose of the sum of these was to ensure perfect reliability.
